About the Instructor

Julie Phillipps is a watercolor artist originally from Ohio. In her early years, she studied art at the Toledo Museum of Art. She received a BA in art and theater from Hope College in Holland, MI, and later earned an MA in theater education from Emerson. She has written and illustrated seven works of literature for young readers, the most recent are the Pacey Packer Unicorn Tracker graphic novels, published by Random House Graphic. Julie is also one of the co-founders of the WeHa Artists Emporium in West Hartford.

You’ll leave with a finished 8″ × 10″ watercolor painting, ready to be matted and framed.
